Paul Ryan, the Republican speaker of the House, is to be the beneficiary of a Physicians and Dentists Industry fundraising event on Wednesday February 1, 2017. A copy of the invitation (below) was provided to the Center for Media and Democracy. The “suggested contribution” for lobbyists to attend the Washington DC breakfast event runs on a sliding scale from $1,000 up to $10,000. Ryan has been leading the Republican efforts in Congress to repeal the Affordable Care Act and cut federal funding for women’s medical care through Planned Parenthood.
